Rangers on the Kruger National Park get arrested seven suspects and confiscated illicit goods, including cigarettes and liquor.
On Thursday, the rangers were on responsibility patrolling along the fence which separates South Africa and Mozambique.
“They then spotted a neighborhood of about 20 males from the aspect of Mozambique coming into the Kruger National Park. These males started working after being instructed by the rangers to terminate,” said provincial police spokesperson Brigadier Leonard Hlathi.
Seven of the suspects were apprehended, while the others managed to fly.
The males were demonstrate in possession of illicit cigarettes, liquor as smartly as pores and skin whitening lotions wrapped in dark plastic baggage. The illicit goods were estimated to be price about R 78 000.
“Police were notified in regards to the incident and as well they then charged the suspects with several conditions, including possession of false cigarettes, liquor, contravention of the Unlawful Immigration Act as smartly as trespassing,” said Hlathi.
The suspects were expected to look within the Bushbuckridge Justice of the Peace’s Court on Monday.
